Where will YOU go?

Well, I took a flight from Costa Rica and am now back in Miami. The adventure is over, but the dream lives on. If you're interested in following your dream, my Jeep is for sale. It's currently in Costa Rica and it's still in beautiful condition, protected from the elements in a closed garage. If you're interested in buying, please post a comment and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, here are the latest pics of my Jeep:

Nicaragua

Hello everyone,

We crossed the Nicarguan border yesterday at 3pm after leaving Honduaras. We drove to Leon and stayed the Night - the hotel we were in did not have any internet.

We went to a place called Via Via (where most backpackers go), had dinner, and listened to a really good band who played really good Cuban music "Frank Torres y sus Amigos". We cruised the town of Leon this afternoon and headed to Granada. We just arrived and will be here for two nights. We will be out in the pool for a while and head out for dinner.

You can contact us here: Hotel Colonial - (505) 552-7581 or (505) 552-7582

we are in room #4

Mark was hoping to hear from Monica by now - but found out that she is in Miami- hope you are all doing well -To all the Mom's - Happy Mother's Day. Send abuela our love. We will be heading to the Costa Rican border on Monday and will hopefully be in Heredia by Tuesday sometime.

Love Honor & Mark

Going to Nicaragua

Hey everyone,

A quick update, we are doing very well, we are currently staying at the Marriot in Tegucigalpa which is the capitol of Honduras. The contact info is room # 516 phone number is (504) 232-0033 or 0044.

We hope you are all doing well. We will be moving on to Nicaragua tomorrow and should be there for about 4-5 days before crossing the border to Costa Rica. Send an e-mail and we will check it when we return to the hotel later today or call after 12 midnight your time if you wish to reach us.

Everything is going very well, we actually caught a movie last night after dinner and have been enjoying the traveling. We are looking forward to settling in in CR and are feeling a little road worn but otherwise doing great.

Take care and hope to hear from you soon.

Love,

Mark and Honor

Honduras

Hey everyone

I hope you are all doing well, I know that we have been in contact individually but we wanted to send a shout out to all and let you know we are alive and kicking. As a matter of fact we are doing great. Today we crossed the border from Guatemala into Honduras and are currently staying in Copan Ruinas (name of town) which is by the Copan Ruins (obviously!) We will be visiting the ruins tomorrow and then there are some thermal waters, falls (Rubi), plus I might be able to get Honor on a horse (of course!) The hotel is very nice The Hotel Marina Copan and we are in room #320 you can call to 504-651-4070 or 4071 or 4072 for different last numbers. The time zone remains the same so we are 2 hours earlier and therefore suggest either calling either before 12 noon or after 12 midnight your time to be almost sure to catch us. We are staying at least 2 nights if not more before moving on.

We love all of you and miss you.

Guatemala

Hey everyone

Well we have moved on to our third country and are now officially in Guatemala. Initial impression was that the roads weren´t too good and damn hot. Second impression is that the country has a great deal to offer including Tikal which we visited today on our way to Flores. Everything is the least expensive thus far and the security concern I had does not appear to be such a big factor. Always being careful is just standard practice.

Anyway, here we are in Flores and should be here for a couple of days before moving on to Coban and then Antigua. We are staying at the Hotel La Casona de la Isla in room #36 and you can reach us at 502-7926-0593 I know it appears to have too many numbers but apparently it is correct.

Tikal was fantastic and Flores is very cool since it is located on an island in the Peten province. We are on our way to dinner so I will be brief in saying that we hope you are all doing well and hope to hear from you soon. I will follow with a more thorough e-mail of what we have seen the last few days very soon.

Love,

Mark and Honor

St Ignacio

Hey there everyone

Well here we are in St Ignacio and we are staying in the Maya Lodge. We do not have a phone in the room so contact will be limited to e-mail for a couple of days unless we are able to call from an internet cafe. The place we are staying in is very nice and rustic with a thatched roof etc. It is located on the way to the Mountain Ridge Reserve and Caracol surrounded by lush vegetation. I don't have more info in front of me right now, but we will send more details later. We did not do too much today as Honor went to get her Nails and Pedicure in Belize City and we headed here thereafter.

Once we eat and get back to the room - we will work on some info to
send to you from the past few days.

Love you all,

Mark & Honor
